Kevin R Brailsford

Kevin R Brailsford passed away peacefully in his home on Friday May 6, 2011 in the arms of his loving wife. Kevin was diagnosed on September 1, 2010 with brain cancer. Kevin was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. Kevin leaves his loving wife and best friend, Rebecca who he loved deeply. They have 3 wonderful children, Kevin Dean, Kurt Ryan, and Elizabeth Mae Brailsford.

Kevin was born on January 14, 1957 in American Fork, Utah to Mary Helen Rasmussen and Blain Doorne Brailsford. Kevin grew up in Pleasant Grove, Utah, graduating from Pleasant Grove High school in 1975. Kevin loved to hunt, ski, and ride his dirt bike. Kevin earned the rank of Eagle Scout, and was able to attend the 13th World Scouting Jamboree in Nippon, Japan.

Kevin attended Utah Technical College and graduated in 1978 with a degree in Electrical and Automation. His first job was working at FMC Corporation in Rock Springs, Wyoming, where he remained for 21 years before retuning with his family to Highland, Utah. Kevin had worked the past 10 years for the Larry H. Miller Company, and loved his job. He found great satisfaction working for a company that appreciated his skills and knowledge.

Kevin also leaves behind 3 children from his first marriage, Samuel George (Dusty), Jeremy Blain (Lexi) and Mary Ann (Adam) Lyman. He leaves behind 5 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother Mary Helen Brailsford.

The family wishes to thank all those who have fasted and prayed for him and his family over the last 8 months. We especially want to thank the Highland 17th Ward for the support they have been to our family and also the LHM companies and the support they have been during this difficult time.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 13, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Highland 17th Ward Chapel, 11200 North 5300 West, Highland, Utah. Friends and family may call Friday morning from 10:00-10:45 a.m. prior services. Funeral Directors - Warenski Funeral Home of American Fork, Utah.
