"Grandma Jean"

Loving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, passed away into the arms of Our Father in Heaven with the love of her life by her side, the morning of March 13, 2011.

She was married and sealed to David Ensign Clegg, on October 11, 1962 in the Logan Temple.

They had a love that was so strong and such an example to us all. There was never a time they were not side-by-side over the past 48 years. Together they had three children, Cory David (Rhonda) West Jordan, Lisa Jean (Troy Norton) Syracuse, and Brian David (Leilani) Riverton.

Her heart was filled with love and pride for each of her seven grandchildren, Tyler Norton (Kacey), Shalese Moss (Jamison), Heather, Brandon, Deven, Cameron, Sydnee and one great-grandson, Tayge. She loved spending all her spare time with her husband and sharing smiles with her grandchildren. She looked forward to every new adventure with them. She will be truly missed and a great loss to all that knew her.

Her family was the world to her and she was the light of our family. She was also a true friend, sister and confidante to anyone in need of a friend. She worked for the Jordan School District for 25 years and loved each new school year at Columbia Elementary in West Jordan until she retired.

Now she is reunited with her parents Glennis Ezra Reading and Alta Leona Denny Reading, in-laws Samuel and Caroline Clegg, brother Steven Reading and son Cory David Clegg, whom she had dearly missed since his passing in 2007.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 17, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Jordan Oaks 3rd Ward Chapel, 8117 South Leslie Drive (3905 West) West Jordan, Utah. Family and friends may call on Wednesday evening from 6:00- 8:00 p.m. at the Jordan Oaks 3rd Ward Chapel also at an additional viewing at the church on Thursday morning from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to services. In lieu of flowers, donations will be appreciated. Interment will be in the West Jordan City Cemetery.
