Lloyd
Morris Guthrie, husband, father, and grandfather passed
away June 17, 2011, doing something he loved, riding his
bike. He was born on February 23, 1928 to Eulys Guthrie
and Lucy Morris in Alamosa, Colorado.
He married his sweetheart Claudine Edna Off on July 4,
1949. They were later sealed in the Arizona Temple and shared
61 years together, including two LDS missions. Lloyd was
an active, faithful member of the LDS church. He served
in many church callings including Scouts and was proud to
be an Eagle Scout.
Lloyd was especially passionate regarding Family History.
He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII
and again in the Korean War. Lloyd worked as a Chemical
Engineer at Hercules for 27 years.
He is survived by his wife, Claudine, children: Candace
(Don) Whitworth, Marleen (Barry) Andreason, Dixon (Jackie)
Guthrie, Salonna (Howard) Thomas, 10 living grandchildren,
14 great grandchildren, and three sisters. He was preceded
in death by 1 grandson. Funeral services will be held Monday,
June 20, 2011 at 11:00 am at the Highland 19th Ward Chapel,
9621 North 6050 West, Highland, Utah. A viewing will be
held from 9:30 to 10:30 am prior to services also at the
church. Interment, Lehi City Cemetery under the direction
of Warenski Funeral Home.
