Ivan
Edward Hall, Life-long resident of Spanish Fork, Utah passed
away peacefully on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at River Meadows
Senior Living in Alpine, Utah.
He was born on October 10, 1921 in Springville, Utah to
Rolla and Emma Elizabeth Brockbank Hall. He was educated
in Spanish Fork District School and graduated from Spanish
Fork High School. Ivan was grateful to be a member of the
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. His life was
one of service to his fellow men.
He joined the Mormon Battalion and served his country
as a Marine in World War II. After the war, he worked for
the American President Lines Steamship Company for 30 years
as a Purser traveling around the world. He was dedicated
to serving his fellow men the world over.
He worked in the Scouting Program. He also held many callings
and served a mission at the Data Center in Spanish Fork,
Utah with his wife Louella B. Hall. They were married in
the Logan LDS Temple on March 25, 1980. He served for many
years with the VFW District IV Honor Guard Utah County Burial
Team and served as Commander of the Springville Post 5787.
He is survived by his eternal companion Louella B. Hall,
two brothers, J Rolla (Marynell) Hall, Jack (Connie) Hall
and one sister Catherine (Robert) Schmidt. He was preceded
in death by his parents, three sisters, Ina, Blanche and
Ruth also two brothers, Blaine and Raymond.
In remembrance, donations may be made to the General Missionary
Fund or to the Perpetual Education Fund of the Church of
Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Special thanks
is given to the staff at River Meadows Senior Living for
their loving care.
Funeral services for Ivan will be held Friday, July 23,
2010 at 11:00 am in the Lehi 23rd LDS Ward Chapel, 3200
North 650 East, Lehi, Utah. Family and friends may attend
a viewing at the church Friday morning from 9:30 to 10:45
am prior to services. Interment, Spanish Fork City Cemetery,
Spanish Fork, Utah were full military honors will be accorded.
