Mikel Eileen Rarick Madsen

Our beautiful, angel Mikel passed away in her home on January 1, 2011.

Born on November 25, 1979 to Kevin and Pam Rarick of Lehi, Utah, Mikel was one of seven children. She is survived by her siblings: Rebecca VanBakel, Jacob Rarick, Terence Rarick, Timothy Rarick, Deborah Sibert, and Vanessa Smith. She is also survived by her daughter, Azia Mikel Yazzie, and husband, Dane Madsen.

Mikel had a beautiful spirit with a loving and compassionate heart. She devoted many years of her life serving the debilitated and mentally challenged. She was extremely gifted artistically and enjoyed painting and creating beautiful jewelry. She had a quick wit and loved to make people laugh. We are going to miss our Mikel, her loving heart, infectious laugh, and sweet spirit.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 12, 2011, at the Eagle Mountain North Stake Center, 8273 North Simpson Springs Road. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Interment will be at the Highland Cemetery the following morning at 10:00 a.m.
