Steven Albert Ray
1949 ~ 2012

Steven Albert Ray, our precious husband, father, grandfather, and friend passed away on August 16, 2012. Steve was born on November 27, 1949 in Salt Lake City, Utah to the family of Kenneth John Ray, and Elaine Clark. He had nine siblings. He served a mission to Guatemala & Ecuador. From 1972 until 1992 he was married to Kathleen Noel and together they raised 10 children. He was married to Cynthia Roades from 1993 to 2003. He was the devoted husband of Linda K Ray, married on December 3, 2005.

Steve enjoyed many years working as a computer programming consultant, and was recently retired. He dedicated his life to working hard to the best of his ability, provide for his loved ones. Steve was a faithful and dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He served in the ward choir and caring for the church building and was an avid BYU fan. He had a firm belief in experiencing life in all its forms to the fullest, making and savoring memories as they came. He captured these moments in photos that will be here, reminding us always of the man he was and the many ways he touched our lives.

Steve is survived by his children Cliss (Neal) Ercanbrack, Cami Chatwin, Dion (John) Seegrist, Daniel Ray, Sharon (Lucas) Ramirez, Shaile (Kevin) Clegg, Ethan (Jen) Ray, Eran Ray, Clark (Shawna) Ray, Carrie (Daniel) Bischoff & Spencer Ray; His step-children, Rachel (Jesus) Garcia, Hyrum (Tiana) Johnson, Susan Schumacher, Teresa (Darin) Jolley, Maren (John) Goodman, David (Meghan) Johnson. He has 52 grandchildren who lovingly call him HAPA!

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at 11:00 am at the Grandview 4th LDS Ward Chapel located at 1081 West 1060 North, Provo, Utah. Family and friends may call Tuesday morning from 9:30-10:30 am prior to services at the church. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. Funeral Directors - Warenski Funeral Home.
