Melba
Arbogast Street, 91 passed away in her home the morning
of July 11, 2011 in American Fork, Utah.
Our true angel entered this world on March 7, 1920. Melba
was the second of three children Merle being the oldest
and Alice being the youngest, born to Howard Lance and Katherine
Mowery Arbogast in Torrington, Wyoming and then raised in
Colorado. Her family was later uprooted to Utah where she
met her husband Lyle Street. They were married on December
22, 1941 in Ely, Nevada and later solemnized on August 9,
2001 in the Mt. Timpanogos Temple. Together they had 4 children:
Garry (Ellie) of Heber City, Larry (Linda) of American Fork,
Ron (Betty) of Lindon and Kathy Walker of American Fork.
Melba worked at American Fork Hospital as a housekeeper
for many years and after her husband passed away she became
a devoted hospital volunteer.
A few of her favorite things were family gatherings at
Deer Creek, sewing quilts, crocheting and making people
smile. Melba was a very kind and caring person who welcomed
everyone with open arms.
Melba is preceded in death by her husband, parents, siblings,
daughter in-law Ellie, grandson Greg and great grandson
Kolton. She leaves behind an amazing legacy of four children,
13 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and numerous great
great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2011
at 11:00 a.m. in the Warenski Funeral Home Chapel, 1776
North 900 East, American Fork, Utah. Family and friends
may call Saturday morning from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior services.
Interment will be in the American Fork City Cemetery.
