Sheila
Faye Roberts Warenski, age 77 of Lehi, Utah passed away
peacefully June 19, 2012 in her home surrounded by her family
and loved ones after a 3 year battle with colon cancer.
Sheila was born August 21, 1934 in American Fork, Utah
to Nile and Kate Roberts. In 1953 she married James Duane
Strickland and they had three boys and one daughter. They
later divorced. In 1976 she married Ron Tanner and they
had one son. They later divorced. In 1997 she married Vee
Warenski. Sheila and Vee spent 15 wonderful years together
traveling and enjoying friends and family.
Sheila worked at Lehi Elementary in the school lunch program
for 20 years with her lifelong friend Sonja Price and together
they also worked at Mellors Banquet in Lehi. She was a faithful
member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints
and held several callings.
She is survived by her husband; Vee Warenski, her 4 sons;
Jim (Teresa) Strickland of Lehi, Lee (Vicki) Strickland
of Lehi, Cody (Amanda) Strickland of Lehi, Wade (Valerie)
Tanner of Lehi, daughter; Kimberlee (Doug) Conlee of Lehi,
sister; Karren (Greg) Newton of Mona, step-sons; Rick (Rebecca)
Warenski, of Bluffdale, Garth Anderson of Salt Lake City,
Pastor Michael (Maria) Warenski of Lake Elsinore, CA, step-daughters;
Vicki Williamson of Pleasant Grove, Brooke (Mike) Carter
of Lehi, step-daughters; Carla Tanner and Jill Tanner of
Salt Lake City, step-son; Kirk Tanner of Salt Lake City
also 24 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Preceded
in death by her parents, elder brother; Don Roberts, step-son;
Chris Warenski, step-daughter; Tasha Warenski and a step-son-in-law;
John Williamson.
The family would like to thank Dr. Brian Tudor and his
team also all the hospice team, especially nurses Nancy
and Marie, for all their care and concern for Sheila throughout
her trials.
Sheila was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
She loved spending time with her family and we will miss
her dearly.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 25, 2012 at
11:00 am, in the Lehi East LDS Stake Center Chapel, 851
North 1200 East, Lehi, Utah. Family and friends may call
Sunday evening from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Stake Center and
also Monday morning from 10:00-10:45 am prior to services
at the Stake Center. Interment will be in the American Fork
City Cemetery.
