Cheryl Foulks Obituary

Cheryl Henderson Foulks

May 8, 1944 – December 21, 2025

Cheryl Henderson Foulks, age 81, passed away peacefully on the afternoon of December 21, 2025.

Cheryl was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She was born on May 8, 1944, to Garn and Luana Henderson. Cheryl graduated from Highland High School in 1962 and went on to further her education at Utah State University.

In her younger years, Cheryl enjoyed bowling and took great pride in tending her garden, she could coax life out of almost anything she planted in the dirt. Those nurturing instincts followed her through every stage of life, especially when it came to her family, she found joy in simple pleasures and carried that love for nurturing into every stage of her life.

Cheryl married Otto Foulks, on April 14, 1969, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Together they were blessed with three children: Danny, Amy, and Otto Jr.

Cheryl spent many years working in the banking industry with First Security Bank and Zions First National Bank, where she eventually retired. Somehow, while working full-time, she also managed to become the most dedicated Avon lady anyone ever knew. If you visited Cheryl’s house, you never left without seeing stacks of Avon boxes or being asked “if you needed anything” Along the way, she built friendships everywhere she went and never met a stranger she couldn’t talk to.

In her golden years, Cheryl discovered a love for painting and never missed an opportunity to spoil any dog she encountered with affection and treats. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandson and treasured time spent sharing recipes, gardening tips, and family history with them.

Cheryl is reunited with her parents, Garn and Luana Henderson; her beloved husband, Otto Foulks; her sons, Danny and Otto Jr.; and her brother, Brad. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter-in-law, Jessica (Danny); daughter, Amy; grandchildren Alyssa, Kaily, Austin (Makaylie), Dustin (Morgan), Lily, and Ayden; her great- grandson, Chase (son of Austin and Makaylie); and her siblings, Kymm (Bob) and Thomas (Virginia).
