In Loving Memory of David Payne Thatcher

December 10, 1962 – June 15, 2025

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of David Payne Thatcher, who died on June 15, 2025, at the age of 62.

Born on December 10, 1962, David’s life held both challenges and moments of quiet connection. He was a man who valued his independence, and those who knew him will remember him in their own meaningful ways.

At 42, David survived a devastating work accident that changed his life. Though the injuries were lasting, he lived each day with courage and strength.

His love for hunting and fishing was a core part of who he was, and many of his best memories were made outdoors, surrounded by nature and the people he loved.

David is survived by his partner in crime, Jackie Nelson, and by his children — Crystal Thatcher, David Thatcher, Levi Thatcher, and Max Thatcher (Teri) and 3 bonus children, Tyler, Marinda, and Jordan.

He was a proud grandfather to 10 grandchildren, 9 bonus grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Each of whom carries their own unique bond and memories with him.

He is also survived by his sisters, Deb Charon and Jayne (Larry) Farley.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Don and Peggy Thatcher; his sisters Laralee Thatcher, Vikki Morales, Val Vickery, and Tori Story; his nephew Jeremy Jaques; and his great-niece Makiya Farley.

The viewing to honor David will take place 10:00-10:45am Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Wallsburg Church, 494 West Main Canyon Road, Wallsburg, Utah 84082
