Donna Lorraine Harris Jex Sager Clifton

1928 ~ 2025

Lorraine was born to William Curtis Harris and Gladys May Stewart Harris on November 21st, 1928, the fourth of seven children, in Sugar City, Idaho. In 1930, Lorraine, her parents and siblings moved to Montana. By 1949, Lorraine had completed high school, graduated from a three-year school of nursing and was now certified to work in both medical and surgical fields as a registered nurse. She greatly enjoyed her career while also developing life-long friends.

Lorraine married Arlando W. Jex in 1948 and they were blessed with two sons prior to their divorce. Lorraine and Ellery Sager met a few years later, married and spent the next forty very happy years together – never a cross word. Ellery, and Lorrain’s son Dennis quickly developed a very special father/son relationship. Ellery peacefully passed away in 2005, with Lorraine, Dennis and several dear friends by his side.

Lorraine met Norman Clifton and they were married in 2006. They were together until Norm’s passing on August 20, 2025.

Besides Norman, Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents William and Gladys, husband Ellery, son Danny Wayne, sisters Rowena Bleecker (Hugh), Colleen Thorn (Harry), brothers Norman, Gordon (Ina Mae) and Garry (JoAnn).

She is survived by her son Dennis Jex (Anne), and her brother Bill (Dorothy).

In lieu of visitation and church service, Lorraine has requested a gravesite service only, after which she will be laid to rest beside her Eternal Companion Ellery, in the American Fork Cemetery on Tuesday, December 30th at 10:00 am. Arrangements by Warenski Funeral Home.
