Janet Miner Miller passed away on April 28, 2025 in Idaho Falls, Idaho at the age of 89.

Janet was born to Christie Gregerson and Max Miner who later divorced. Her mother married Vern Fawson who lovingly raised Janet and her brother Alan. Don, David and Deana were soon added to the family. Her father, Max, married Faires Sampson and soon added Nancy, Kay and Dale Miner. She was nurtured and happy in both homes.

Janet grew up in Grantsville, Utah and attended BYU where she was active in service organizations, mutual and student government. She was elected Vice President of Summer School in 1958. She graduated with a B.A. in Elementary Education and went on to teach 3rd grade in Orem, Utah and kindergarten in Portland, Oregon.
Janet married Robert Wayne Miller on November 13, 1958. After graduating from BYU, they lived in Monticello, Utah where Rob taught grades 1-8 in a one-room school. When he was accepted to dental school, they moved to Portland, Oregon. He practiced dentistry in Corvallis, Oregon and then settled in Dos Palos, California where they lovingly raised 10 children on 10 acres of farmland. They have 46 grandchildren and 64 great grandchildren.

Janet was deeply religious, living a life of faith in Jesus Christ. She was a dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She and her husband served as volunteers in many capacities including temple workers, employment missionaries in California and proselyting missionaries in Oregon. In her last years, she
warmly greeted parishioners and visitors, welcoming each person as a cherished friend.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rob, brothers, Dale Miner and David Fawson, sister Nancy Turner and sons, Peter and Sam. She is survived by brothers Alan Miner and Don Fawson, sisters Deana Johansen and Kay Mumford, and children Laurie Stoker (Paul), Susie Johnson (Paul), Melinda Christensen (Dan), Mary Jones (Jeff), Heidi, Carrie Stephani (Gabe), Megan Liston (Travis), and Charlie (Meg),

Funeral services for Janet will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 11:00 am in the Spring Hollow 2nd Ward Chapel, located at 1152 North 400 West, American Fork, Utah. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday evening from 5:00-7:00 pm at the Spring Hollow 2nd Ward Chapel and also at an additional viewing on Saturday morning from 10:00- to 10:45 am prior to services. Interment will be in the Manti City Cemetery.
