Kevin Leroy Westenskow, age 48, After a courageous 4 year battle with cancer, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2025, at 10:30 p.m., surrounded by his beloved family. He was born on May 8, 1977, in West Jordan, Utah, to Kathleen Pace and Douglas Westenskow. In 1998, he married Gina Westenskow in Salt Lake City, Utah, beginning a loving partnership that would endure for decades.

Outside of the time he cherished with family and friends, Kevin had a true passion for grilling and smoking meats. On summer weekends, he could often be found by his smoker, music playing in the background, carefully tending both to his barbecue and his yard. Kevin also had an infectious love for dancing and singing—despite not always being in tune or on beat. What he may have lacked in rhythm, he more than made up for with enthusiasm and heart. His vibrant spirit, unwavering confidence, and joyful presence made him the life of every gathering, always bringing warmth, laughter, and unforgettable energy.

Kevin was a dedicated and hardworking man who took great pride in providing for his family. He worked tirelessly to ensure their well-being and security, always putting their needs above his own. Kevin was a devoted father, a loving husband, a supportive brother, and a loyal friend. His presence brought warmth and strength to those around him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His passing leaves a profound void, as he touched the lives of many and made a lasting impact through his kindness, unwavering spirit and embodiment of a grumpy old man.

Kevin is survived by his loving wife, Gina Westenskow; his children and their spouses: Jocelynn Nelson and Andre Martinez, Tristan Westenskow and Lainey Hessing, and Kurstin Westenskow and Jacob Welch. He is also survived by his siblings, their spouses, and children: Shad Westenskow; Kellie and Rob Gibson, along with their children Shauna Gibson, Sabrina Gilgenbach, Shelby Gibson, and Ryder Gibson; Wesley Westenskow, PJ Westenskow, and Crystal Westenskow. His best friend Michael Hyde (Kristine Hyde).

Kevin was preceded in death by his mother, Kathleen Pace, and his father, Douglas Westenskow.

A celebration of Kevin’s life will be held on June 29, 2025, with the location to be shared privately with his family and close friends. Arrangements are being lovingly handled by his wife and children.
