LaNeal Ward

July 22, 1947 - September 18, 2025

LaNeal Ward who was born on July 22, 1947 to Neal and Elda Hardwick passed away peacefully on September 18, 2025 in Murray, Utah.

She was born and raised in Salt Lake City Utah and graduated from Granite High School in 1965. She married her high school sweetheart, Woody Ward on June 25, 1965 in the Salt Lake Temple. They enjoyed 60 happy years together and are still sweethearts. LaNeal and Woody lived at various locations in Salt Lake and St George and raised a family of four children: Lane, Brooke, Dale and Joey Anne. Active her entire life in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, LaNeal joyfully served in many callings, her favorite being an ordinance worker. She also loved doing family history and compiled the names of 6500 ancestors.

LaNeal’s greatest joy in life was being a wife, mother and grandmother. LaNeal was blessed to have four children, 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She had a special love for children and loved to teach them and play with them. She was also a very talented cook and seamstress which blessed the lives of her family. LaNeal also enjoyed making different crafts and especially enjoyed making greeting cards for her children and grandchildren who all looked forward to receiving them. LaNeal always loved Christmas and thought every child should get a gift. Most of all, she enjoyed being with Woody no matter what they were doing. Their love for each other is an example to their children and grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life is being planned for the family.
