Alice Goodwin

Alice Georgiana Bird Goodwin of Highland, Utah, and Ocean Springs, Mississippi passed away peacefully in her home in Bountiful, Utah on Tuesday, March 2, 2021.

Alice was born on November 26, 1933 to William Robert Bird and Alice Georgiana Forschler Bird in New Orleans, Louisiana. Alice spent her adolescent years in New Orleans, Louisiana and Ocean Springs, Mississippi before moving to Provo, Utah to begin her college education at Brigham Young University. It was there that she met the love of her life, Harland Dale Goodwin. They were married in Panaca, Nevada on August 14, 1953 and later sealed in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Temple in Manti, Utah on February 23, 1954. Although her formal education ended following their marriage, Alice remained an avid learner and developed talents in many areas throughout her life. Through her application of acquired knowledge, Alice could have carried such titles as Contractor, Master Gardener, Architect, Artist, Designer, Therapist or Chef but the titles she saw as most honorable were those of wife and mother.

A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 10:45 am on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Chapel, 676 North Eagle View Drive, Alpine, Utah.
