Donna Fae Pedersen West was bornon August 25, 1937in the house where she lived most of her life. She was the first child of Adolf B Pedersen and Sarah Robinson Pedersen. She grew up in American Fork in a wonderful neighborhood close to her best friend Carolyn. Donna grew up enjoying the outdoors and spent many happy hours in American Fork Canyon with family. She graduated from American Fork High School and attended BYU for 2 years before meeting her husband. She married Stanley Ray West on November 15, 1957. They had eight children, Kathy, Steve, Julie, Suzanne, Terry, Jill, Darren and Scott.

The family traveled extensively around the United States, Canada and Mexico. Donna loved to travel and experience new places and cultures. The family often went camping and fishing at the many beautiful areas in Utah.

Donna was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served many years in a number of different callings. Her favorite was as a Primary teacher. Being a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers (DUP) was a big part of her life serving as the chorister and chaplain for many years.

Family was the most important thing to Donna. Taking her grandchildren camping and fishing was one of the highlights of her life. She traveled to Arizona and Oregon to watch her grandchildren run track and cross-country. She loved being called Grandma West by the members of the American Fork Cross Country and Track team whether the runners were her actual grandchildren or not.

Donna loved the holidays and every year would hold annual Easter Egg Hunts, Halloween Parties and the most amazing Christmas Eve event. She was able to keep up with the growing family and share these traditions with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Donna passed away on Friday, July 7, 2023 at her home. She is survived by her daughters, Kathy (Dano) Sereno, Suzanne (Neil) Christofferson, Jill (Greg) Bardin and son, Scott West. She has 19 grandchildren, Ryan, Briana, Matthew, Stephanie, Travis, Cole, Kelsey, Clay, Danielle, Austin, Taylor, Brandon, Niccole, Megan, Amber, Mik, Halli, Kinzie and Colter, 23 great grandchildren and 1 great great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her husband Stanley,daughter, Julie West, sons Steve West, Terry (Susan) West, Darren West,brother, Andy Pedersenand great granddaughter Leslie.

Funeral services for Donna will be held on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at 11:00 am in the American Fork 29th Ward Chapel, Located at 455 East 300 North, American Fork, Utah. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Wednesday, evening from 6:00-8:00 pm at the American Fork 29th Ward Chapel and also at an additional viewing on Thursday morning from 9:30-10:30 am prior to services at the church. Interment will follow services in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery.
