Karen Holladay Obituary

A loving daughter of God died on June 22, 2021, in Highland, Utah, after a long battle with cancer. Born April 28, 1943, to Harold Warnick and Lois Bramble Warnick. She was the youngest of three daughters. In Karens youth she attended Libbie Edwards Elementary, Evergreen Junior High, and Olympus High. She graduated in 1961 and began her studies at the University of Utah. On January 29, 1965, Karen and Doug married in the Salt Lake Temple. After marriage, Karen quickly focused her full attention and considerable abilities on her responsibilities as a wife, then as a mother, and later as a grandmother. She cherished each of these rolls. Her devotion to family and friends never wavered. Her involvement in the rearing and teaching her son and four daughters was complete. Throughout all of her life she served in numerous church positions and had a fervent testimony of Jesus Christ and his gospel plan for all people. She served for many years in teaching young women and adults. Karen was blessed with many talents that she nurtured. Karen’s favorite location on this earth was with family members any-time and anywhere. Both of her parents and sister Joyce preceded her in death. Karen is survived by her loving husband Doug and by five children, Daniel Holladay, Karinna Butters (Derek), Kristina Barton, Katherine Sullivan, Kimberly Anselmo (Matthew), seventeen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, sister Lynda wife of Milo Carlston, a niece Debra, raised as a sister, and wife of Gene Marks, sister-in-law Doris wife of Ron Johnson.

Karen, we love, honor, and revere you. Thank you for blessing our lives and thousands of others during your life-time.
