Neil John Ferrell was born on January 7, 1933 in Salt Lak City, Utah to John William Chapman Ferrell and Marjorie Evelyn Johansen Stevenson. Neil honorably and successfully completed his journey here on earth at 10:20 am on Saturday, May 20, 2023. He left peacefully, surrounded by his wife and family.

Neil was preceded in death by his eternal companion, Vera Lillian Price (Vee) in 2010. Neil is survived by his wife, LaVerne Nerdin Ferrell; His loving wife of 10 years, his five children, his 20 grandchildren, his 27 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, his two sisters (and best friends), their families and his five step-children and their families.

Neil lived a very rich life filled with learning and his many loves, including: love for his Heavenly Father, his family, his country, his work, his friends and his music. He learned something from every person he met and every experience he had.

Funeral services for Neil will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at 11:00 am in the American Fork 19th Ward Chapel, located at 1305 North 100 East, American Fork, Utah. Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing Wednesday morning from 9:30-10:30 am prior to services at the church. Interment will take place on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at 12:00 pm in the Huntsville Cemetery.
