Stephen Douglas Oliverson

1951 ~ 2024

Stephen Douglas Oliverson (Steve, Ollie, or Tevo by his family) age 72, passed away on March 22, 2024 at his home in Alpine, Utah from complications of surgery.

Stephen is proceeded in death by his older sister Vicki Voss, little brother Michael Oliverson, step-father Quinn Beckstead and mother Joyce Beckstead. Survived by his loving wife Ruth Oliverson, kids: Klara Oliverson, Mindy Rogerson (Jamie), Jacob Oliverson (Jessica), Robert Oliverson, Kati Webb (Robbie), Crystal Oliverson, Edmund Oliverson (Jeanae) and Casey Oliverson. 13 grandkids and 3 great grand kids, Father Douglas Oliverson (Corinne), sister Pam Cambell (Rusty) and brothers Jeff (LeeAnn) and Kim (Wanda) Oliverson. And many nieces and nephews.

Stephen had a love for woodworking and worked in various positions throughout his life. At the time of his passing, he was working at Alpine Elementary as the Head Sweeper. He loved being around the kids, and often said, It keeps me young. He loved making sure the kids had a clean, safe building to attend school. Stephen was always the first to lend a helping hand, always had a dad joke to tell and Oreos to give his Grandkids, the true loves of his life.

Funeral services for Stephen will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at 11:00 am in the Alpine 8th Ward Chapel, located at 890 North Heritage Hills Drive, Alpine, Utah. Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing from 9:30-10:30 am prior to services at the church. Interment will follow services at the Alpine City Cemetery.

We want to thank the Lone Peak Police department for their compassion and service while at the house, and for the Paramedics who worked valiantly to help Dad out in the last moments of his life here on earth. Thank you for the sacrifice and service you provide every day to our community. A huge thank you to Warenski Funeral Home for taking care of Dad once he left this mortal life and the respect they showed our family through our grieving process.

Those wishing to send flowers may have then sent to the Alpine 8th Ward Chapel on Wednesday, morning prior to services.
